We decided to spend our last two days in Barcelona doing slightly different things. Firstly we thought we should try and do something vaguely active to work off some of the tapas we had inhaled so far.
There is a cable car that you can take up to the top of Montjuic to see the castle but thinking that was too lazy we decided to WALK to the top. I don't even know who I am anymore.
It just so happened that there was a huge colour run going on in the area that day so we were greeted by an absolute rave going on at the finish line complete with David Guetta blaring out at 10am on Sunday morning. The atmosphere was pretty great and kind of put our feeble walk up a hill to shame.

Paris, is that you?!
After our strenuous morning we decided to go to the park to chill out and even went for a wee row on the lake, it was dreamy.
Barcelona FC also won some football thing (The Champions League maybe?!) when we were there so there was a big parade of the team through the city - this was my highlight:
Saving the beach for our last day we decided to venture out of town to the delightful town of Sitges in search of a slightly more secluded beach than right in the city centre. I would definitely recommend a visit to Sitges, it is so photogenic, instagrammable, pinterest-worthy and just damn nice to look at and actually enjoy in person!
After a long day in the sun, we took our little sun burnt bodies (who knew feet could burn so bad) back to our apartment to pack and head home.
I have one more post coming on Barcelona and that will be all about where to eat when you're there. Then I suppose I'll need to move on and plan another holiday.
