Well would you look at that, the sun is out and I'm smiling - two things you don't see every day. These full midi skirts are everywhere just now and I do love the style for summer but I could't really see myself wearing them here in a more casual style but I think the tailoring of the cropped shirt and sleeveless blazer balance it out quite nicely. Having a few decent basics in your wardrobe provides a great base for building lots of different outfits and this cropped shirt is my new fave - it adds a nice twist to an otherwise plain item.

Razor Soles

Pretty simple outfit today with not much excitement. I got this top in the ASOS sale and it is such a versatile piece that can be dressed up or down whatever the occasion. I love the razor soles on these plimsolls - it just makes them a bit different, you can get them in black too here. Then finished off with my old trusty mom jeans. It is a very simple outfit but I think the details of the rips in the jeans, the razor soles and the jacquard texture of the top make it a bit more exciting than just plain jeans, a tee and plimsolls. Either that or it's just really boring.

So today I decided to dress like a boy and quite enjoyed it. I even took it as far as wearing a man's shirt although at a tenner in the sale - who can resist? I paired it with these bargybee jeans which I got for £9 in the M+S sale and my Topshop sale boots. Sale sale sale! The best kind of outfit in my book.

Cream of the Crop

I decided to compile this wish list when I noticed an unhealthy amount of white and cream dresses accumulating in my ASOS saved items. I don't think white has ever been out of fashion but there's no denying that it's currently extremely in fashion - it's literally everywhere right now. Despite this, it's such a variable trend that you can style in so many different ways. Even looking at dresses alone, there are different fabrics (from chiffon to scuba), a vast array of completely different styles and a small spectrum of shades from brilliant white to a smoother cream. I think my personal fave is this pleated beauty from Topshop but I'm also lusting after this bardot style summer dress from ASOS.

Despite the supposed imminent arrival of summer, trench coats are everywhere just now. They are quite perfect for british weather when you can never guarantee that a coat will not be required. This one is quite long which makes it fit quite nicely into the duster coat trend as well - two birds one stone etc. It's also a perfect match for these ASOS boots which are quickly becoming my new faves!

Think I'm cutting it fine here with the outdoor pictures before heading out for the evening but I am thoroughly enjoying the light evenings! I like the simplicity of this outfit - there really isn't a lot to it but I think the silver accessories bring it all together. 

That's all the energy I can muster tonight I'm afraid. I'm just home from a weekend on the high seas on the west coast of Scotland and I still feel like I'm rocking side to side on a boat as I type this. Hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend and roll on a four day week!

The marble print is everywhere right now and this jumper from Zara is the perfect piece to add to your wardrobe. They only had a large left but I went for it anyway and glad I did. This waistcoat was another 20% off M+S buy and creates a bit of a makeshift suit with the ASOS trousers. If you don't want to go for one of these patterned and expensive suits that are everywhere just now, black is a good compromise and you can get bits and bobs from different shops and they'll go well together. These shoes are just like your average slip ons except without the sore heels. Ideal.

I haven't actually seen much of the Adidas x Topshop collection in the blogosphere but being a sucker for a trend I couldn't resist bagging an item! The pattern compliments the colour of my bargain buy coat quite nicely - I know it's a bit didic buying coats at this time of the year but fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on which way you look at it) the UK weather doesn't allow for set winter and summer wardrobes meaning coats are always necessary. In other words, YOLO, I'll buy a coat if I want to buy a coat.

After quite a colourful week of outfit posts, here's me back to trusty black and white. Monochrome is beginning to feel a bit wintery but it's just so easy to throw together. My mum was wearing this jumper the other day and I just really liked it so tracked it down online (although can't find it anymore soz) and got 25% off which was a bonus. Alsoooo, hello celine-alike bag! The listing I've linked on ebay have lots of colours - all available in two sizes - so naturally I got a yellow one as well! According to David when he was taking the photos: "This outfit is nice because you can't tell they are jops, it looks like a skirt". Not quite sure where he got the word 'jops' from but he means culottes…

I bought this jumpsuit about a year ago but it's still there on ASOS (there two listings of it strangely, each with different sizes in stock so have a search!). A mesh tee underneath and these flatforms are a good way to dress it down a bit and keep it casual. I'm FINALLY starting to be a bit too warm with my winter coats on which is a welcome change and also yay for outfit photos outdoors before a night out. Blogging in the summer is much easier!

This top is actually a dress but as it was particularly rainy outside I decided to compromise and just wear jeans with it. I love the bright flashes of red and the zig zag pattern goes perfectly with these sandals and of course who can resist finishing this off with a red lip?!
